It’s that time of year again! Recherché’s Holiday Mini Sessions have been scheduled!

Saturday November 27th, 10am-3pm
Friday December 3rd, 12pm-3pm

This session is perfect for a family on the go who just wants a fabulous few images of  mom, dad and kid(s) in the same shot. Just pop in for a 20 minute breezy portrait session booked on the half hour and Regina will capture a timeless image of your family in her smooth & spontaneous way for your holiday cards, gifts and personal library.

I’m very excited to show off Recherche’s new blog! We’ll be tweaking for the next month or so but by the time we’re done it will be chock-a-block full of fascinating and helpful information! I am indebted to Juli with Voco Creative for her artistic vision and technical know-how. I woke up yesterday morning before our appointment, took this photo of my bedroom with my iPhone and brought it to Juli- “I’d like my new blog to look and feel like this.” What do you think? Isn’t she amazing?? Need a fresh look for your business? She’s your girl!

In case you didn’t know, Recherché’s Annual Halloween Mini Portraits is my favorite event of the year. What set 2010 apart from all the others thus far is that the weather was gorgeous enough to shoot outside!! I am a “natural light” and spontaneous photographer so this scenario was ideal! The kids could run around and pick where they wanted to be- or just plain run around. Lots of space was given to the little ones who were just not sure about what their mom had stuffed them into. I got several calls and emails the mornings of the sessions from moms lamenting that their child refused to put on their costume. It doesn’t take long for kids to all of the sudden have opinions about things!

A HUGE thank you to every one of you who made it out to the sessions and for sharing the event with your friends! I loved meeting many new families this year and adored seeing so many of my familiar and devoted clients. I hope you can attend the Holiday Mini Sessions coming up at the end of November & early December! Stay tuned!

I was intending to be a friendly soft kitty but now that I see this picture I guess I look more like Gmork from the Neverending Story. I just needed some fangs and a black nose. Oh well.

 

We came back from Italy and suddenly it was time to start prepping for Recherché’s Annual Halloween Mini Portrait Sessions!! Hurrah! My most favorite event of the year!

This year sessions are scheduled for:

Friday, 10/29/10 from 10am-2pm

Saturday, 10/30/10 from 10am-3pm

Cost: Mini Portrait + 2-3 emailed images: $45 (option to buy CD of all high res digital files for $35)

Where: Recherché Home Studio: 622 Bella Vista Drive, Louisville, CO 80027. (just a few houses down from the dog park!)

How does it work: The sessions are drop-in so just stop by when it’s convenient for you! We’ll be spending about 5-10 minutes with each little one so there won’t be much of a wait. Come in, sign the release form, prep your child’s costume, photo shoot, zip on to the rest of your day!

PLEASE NOTE: There is a limit to (25) costumed-tots per day so sign up early to reserve your spot!!

If you know me at all, you know I tend to hibernate during the colder/darker time of year, coming up for air only occasionally in dire need. Hence, no newsletter and blog posts few & far between. If we are friends on FaceBook you’ll know I’ve been doing a lot of yoga, gardening and spending lots of quality time with my pups.

In the midst of that, inspiration arrived. As usual, it was unlooked for. I created the space and *poof*. After 10 years of running my own creative business, I have somehow managed to combine my artistic nature, my commitment to customer service and my passion for organization into a streamlined business. Let me tell you, it did NOT come easily. Geeze. Which may be why I am so excited to share it with others! My new business combines my two greatest skill sets: organization and photography. I have been mentoring photographers young and old for years, and now I’m ready to formalize it bit.

Introducing: The Organized Photographer!

What is this about? Nutshell: I’m poised to help other photographers create structure in their business, space in their life and sanity in their psyche.

How will I do this? By offering group classes, intensive workshops, one-on-one coaching and downloadable forms + checklists. To start.

This month Recherché Photography is offering the "Loved One" portrait special. Bring one person you adore to the studio for a portrait session- a lover, a child, a parent, a best friend, a grandparent, a pet…

The mini portrait session is 30 min. and $250. It includes a CD of 25 fine art finished images.

Session must take place during the month of February. I only shoot during natural light (10am-3pm) Tuesday-Saturday so sessions times will be limited.
