I love the holidays. I am crazy about over-the-top Christmas lights. I have boxes and boxes of decorations that I cherish and use to douse my home in holiday cheer. I love the cooking, the music, the parties, the snow and the CARDS. I love seeing which images my friends, family and clients chose from their photo shoots and all the sweet designs. Why I haven’t thought to post my favorite cards before this year is beyond me! (Actually, it is most likely due to the holiday CRASH that I annually experience right about January 1st and lasts through March!!)

A quick & dirty holiday family portrait session for my neighbors, Grant and Katie and their trio. It doesn’t get much cuter than this little crew! Beautiful afternoon window light + Katie’s beautiful paintings in the background + red leather couch = perfect holiday portrait setup.  Next year we’ll do all our holiday sessions over there!! Bere needed a little moment to himself. Please note: best way to deal with grumpy four year old is to ignore them and take pictures of everyone else. Doesn’t take them long to realize they are getting left out and they jump back in. No harm no foul.

Just pop in for a 20 minute breezy portrait session booked on the half hour and Regina will capture a timeless image of your family in her smooth & spontaneous way for your holiday cards, gifts and personal library.

A month ago I thought I could not be any happier photographing kiddos in their Halloween costumes. But here I am surrounded by little while Christmas trees, twinkle lights, snowy garlands and little ones in their finest outfits. Life is pretty amazing.

The Frea Family just moved to Boulder County and they have had the same photographer creating their family photographs for several years back in CA. I was so privileged (and nervous!) to have the opportunity to create these precious photographs and hope this will be a new family tradition! We’re so glad you moved here, Riki & Bill! Wishing you a White Colorado Christmas!

The gorgeous family has been getting their photos made by Recherché since Sloan was just a few weeks old! They are now traveling internationally on a regular basis so it was so fun to catch up with them a bit and see how Sierra & Sloan are growing.

Heather would be the first to tell you that this session was a disaster. They had just gotten back in the country a couple days previous to the session and both kids were out of sorts. Sloan burst into tears within minutes of arriving at my house and could not stand to be even slightly detached from him momma. And Heather was not interested in making an appearance in the photos, so we had a dilemma. The crying got progressively worse until an exhausted Sloan fell asleep in his mother’s arms. Strong fit yoga mom carried that boy all the way down the open space trail- there and back! And somehow, we ended up with so many really sweet photographs. It’s a mystery and a relief for all of us!! And now they’re off to London for Christmas…sniff, just a little envious!! Now this shot is a complete treasure since it was literally a blink.
I feel like this is a very important “character” shot representing this time in their lives
