There are many reasons I delight in working out of my home. One is the availability I have to babysit my niece, Ellyana, with short notice. And the other was the opportunity it has provided for us to adopt a new puppy! I’ve wanted one for years but the timing never seemed to work out. So as soon as Jay and I got back in town from a 2+ week road trip to visit his parents in Idaho and then down to CA for a good friend’s wedding, I started looking again. And last Saturday we brought this little one home! What fun to have puppy energy back in the house!! Potty training, crate training, mid-night howling, trips to the vet, keeping all the non-chewables out of reach… I love it! (seriously)  Here are a few candid snapshots of his first few days home with us.  I feel like I keep my blog fairly “professional” showing just the Recherché shoots and events, and here is one that is a little more personal.  Just our little family hanging out on a beautiful summer afternoon with our new puppy and our gorgeous niece.  (Obadiah is still in complete denial that there is a new puppy in the house. But it’s really just a matter of weeks until they become the best of friends!)
